Registering for Programs

Registration for children’s programs is encouraged but not required. Calling to register your child is helpful for preparations and communications. But You may always drop in and just sign in when you arrive. Only with Note-able Pages is registration required. You can e-mail Mr. B thru stdys@sdlibrary.org if you have any questions or you would like to register for a program.

 

Summer Reading Program

Tutoring on Tuesday

after school 3:30-5:30 pm

  • Check in with caring volunteers.
  • Enjoy a snack with a story.
  • Get your homework done.
  • Play one of six new computer games.
  • Do a craft, puzzle or activity.
  • Get your weekly reading done in a place with endless possibilities!

Bedtime Stories
meets last Monday of the month at 7 pm

On the last Monday of the month at 7 pm come to the library in your pajamas and hear some bedtime stories. We will have a special guest from Douglas Elementary read a story, a performance by the Master Pages, songs with Mr. B, and a cup of cocoa.

Costume and set workshop on June 24 from 3-5 and 6-8 pm.

Getting to the Library After School
The School Office is given a list of students participating in Note-able Pages. If your student is walking with other students or riding with another trusted adult to Note-ables or any program this needs to be communicated to the school.

Safe Pick Up After a Program At the library, children are expected to wait in the lower level (The Fox’s Den) until a responsible adult arrives to pick them up. For safety reasons, children will be discouraged from waiting outside by the street.

 

Book-Cycle Story Time in the Park

Saturdays 11 am and 1 pm (June 12 – August 21)

The Saugatuck-Douglas Library Book-Cycle will be rolling to the Village Green in Saugatuck Saturdays at 11 am and 1 pm for Story Time in the Park.
Mr. B. will share some songs and interactive stories.
Bring your library card and you can check out and turn in books at the park.
The Village Green is right across the street from the play area on Butler Street.

Children with library cards can check out and return books at the Book-Cycle.

Library cards are available at the library for children able to sign their name with parents who also sign their name.
